Classic Africa Safaris brings a total of over 75 years combined experience to its customers. We endeavour to ensure that every safari runs smooth. We take pride in our work and do our best to demonstrate that you are in capable hands. We pay attention to detail, and are flexible whenever possible to accommodate our customers.

Please remember though, that you are in Africa, and no matter how capable we are, things don’t always work or operate as you are accustomed to. Patience, a sense of adventure and humour should be brought with you.

All of our safaris include:

  • Airport transfers
  • Meet and Greet upon arrival
  • Departure services
  • Additional guides as needed
  • Comfortable, modern, 4X4 vehicles, customized for maximum viewing with open roof hatches. These are usually Toyota Land Cruisers, or comparable vehicles
  • Professional, experienced drivers, and guides who are knowledgeable in all aspects of Uganda and Rwanda Safaris
  • All accommodations and meals as stated in your chosen itinerary
  • All excursions as stated in your chosen itinerary, which includes any park fees and taxes
  • Emergency International communications available
  • Books available in the vehicles to help identify the flora and fauna
  • Umbrellas, bean bags, blankets, in the vehicles
  • Courtesy bag which includes tea, coffee, biscuits, and paper napkins
  • Coolers in our vehicles
  • Bottled water in vehicles ONLY
  • Map of Uganda

What is NOT included in our safaris:

  • Beverages (however, bottled water is included in the vehicles only)

4 Day Rwanda Safari – Itinerary 1

Baby mountain gorilla

This itinerary is short and sweet and comprises of 4 days and 3 nights in country. The focus of this trip is a visit to Volcanoes National Park and the endangered mountain gorillas. Logistically this itinerary requires a morning or early afternoon arrival flight into Rwanda as on day 1 you have a guided tour around Kigali and a visit to the genocide memorial centre before driving down to the forests of Volcanoes National Park. This itinerary includes 2 treks to see the mountain gorillas, 1 trek can be substituted for a visit to the rare golden monkeys if desired.

5 Day Rwanda Safari – Itinerary 2

Mountain Gorilla

This itinerary includes 5 days and 4 nights in Rwanda, 2 nights are spent in Volcanoes National Park and 1 night either side is spent in the capital city of Kigali. The itinerary includes a guided city tour of Kigali, a visit to the genocide memorial centre and 2 gorilla treks, but is a little more flexible in terms of arrival and departure flight planning. Whilst is Kigali, you will stay at the 5* Kigali Serena Hotel and there is a choice of accommodations in Kinigi to chose from depending on budget preferences. Again 1 gorilla trek can be substituted for a golden monkey trek if desired.

10 Day Rwanda Safari

Nyungwe forest canopy walk

Rwanda has a lot to offer and this 10 day itinerary shows you a lovely selection of the Rwandan countryside and national parks. It comprises of a visit to Nyungwe Forest National Park, Lake Kivu and also Volcanoes National Park. Nyungwe Forest National Park is home to many primate species, including the chimpanzee. It is also a haven for a large diversity of birds and butterflies. Nyungwe Forest also has another interesting feature……a canopy walkway built above the tree tops and from which you have an amazing view of the forest beneath. Lake Kivu’s small, friendly towns and white sandy beaches make it an excellent night stop. A chance to recharge the batteries before continuing to Volcanoes National Park and the highlight of the safari, trekking the mighty mountain gorillas.
