This short itinerary’s primarily focus is two visits to the endangered mountain gorillas.
We arrive into Entebbe in the morning and after a safari briefing drive to Lake Mburo National Park. Enroute we will have our first taste of Africa and share in the delights of the roadside towns, local villages and rural countryside. There are always some many new sights to behold along the road. Game drives in Lake Mburo National Park will offer views of zebra, hippos, many antelopes, including the bush buck, water buck and Thomson’s gazelle. There is also the chance of seeing the elusive leopard.
Three nights are spent in the lush rainforests of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Hiking through forest in search of the mountain gorillas is a once in the life time opportunity. The suspension and excitement mounts as you near closer to these incredible creatures. Looking deep into the expressive brown eyes of these gentle giants is an extremely special privilege and an encounter unparalleled in most likely the whole of Africa.
