Rwanda update: Land Borders Reopen

Land borders between Rwanda and Uganda have reopened.

All pax will be tested using RT-PCR and rapid tests on arrival, PCR test results will be fast tracked. We are awaiting full details on testing timing and protocols.  For those travelers exiting Uganda and entering Rwanda, the PCR exit test for Uganda is still required and this will be arranged as a “remote test” in Bwindi or Mgahinga prior to entering Rwanda. We do anticipate delays at the border while the reopening process is fine-tuned.

We will address logistics on confirmed two-country trips with our trade partners directly. Otherwise, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with questions on Uganda or Rwanda requirements.

The current Uganda Covid-19 test rate sheet can be found here.
