Not far from one of our favorite lodges in Fort Portal is a special place...the Sadhguru School. This non-profit organisation is made up of a team of local teachers and dedicated volunteers who strive daily to offer a world-class, international-level education to children in this rural area of Uganda. Most of the parents of attending students are sustenence farmers and earn less than the equivalent of $3 a day. The school opened in 2017 and currently provides education to over 80rural students.

The school's founder is yogi, mystic, and visionary, Sadhguru. With a visionary goal in mind, the school now aims to "become sustainable through long-term Education Partnerships" with a small family of visionary companies and individuals who want to push their own boundaries, while leading education opportunities in Africa."
